Mortar Mix

MORTAR MIX is a single component product consisting of Type S masonry cement (ASTM C-91) and finely graded mason sand (ASTM C-144) blended to a uniform mixture. Mortar Mix meets and exceeds the requirements of ASTM C-387 and ASTM C-270, Type S, latest revisions and Federal Quality Standard USCE CRD-C-74.

USES and ADVANTAGES

• Eliminates dry mixing of multiple ingredients.

• Cement gray in color.
• Can be blended with most mortar colors wen color is required.

MIXING
Place material in a clean suitable container (bucket, mixing box, wheelbarrow or power mixer). For each 15 pounds of dry material use
approximately 1 quart of water. Add 3/4 of the mixing water and then blend in the dry ingredients. Mix until all liquid is absorbed. This will be a very stiff mix and will allow the addition of more liquid to the mix without over watering. Add the balance of liquid require to achieve a smooth, lump free and fully wetted mix. Do not overwater. After initial mixing, allow the mix to rest and absorb all liquid for 2 to 3 minutes. Remix then apply.
