Product Description

NCA is a non-chloride additive (in dry powdered form) designed to accelerate the set time of mortar and concrete mixes while increasing early compressive strength. NCA does not promote steel corrosion or efflorescence and will not disturb color dispersion in colored mortar or concrete. Unlike other non-chloride accelerators, such as those containing calcium nitrate, NCA is not hazardous. No special handling, storage or transportation expense is required.

USES and ADVANTAGES
• Non-chloride accelerator.
• Will not promote steel corrosion or efflorescence in mortar and concrete.
• Will not disturb color dispersion in colored mortar or concrete.
• Reduces initial and final set times.
• High early strength development.
• Increases durability.
• Non-hazardous.
• Meets ASTM C-494 Types C and E.

RECOMMENDED DOSAGE
For each 70 lb. bag of mortar, add one pound of NCA. Adding more than the recommended dosage will not hurt the mix but you will probably not get any additional benefit. If slower acceleration is desired, less than the recommended dosage may be added. For each 94 lb. bag of cement, add two pounds of NCA. For faster acceleration, up to one more bag of NCA may be added. Any more than that will not hurt the mix but you will probably not get any additional benefit. If slower acceleration is desired, less than the recommended dosage may be added.

Set times below are based on recommended dosage rates:
