A unique blend of high grade silica sand and polymer binders designed to be swept into paver joints to keep pavers securely in place. A POLYMERIC SAND SWEPT INTO PAVER JOINTS TO KEEP PAVERS IN PLACE WHILE REDUCING VEGETATION GROWTH & ANT INFESTATION
PAVER-LOCK SAND is a unique blend of high grade silica sand and polymer binders designed to be swept into paver joints to keep pavers securely in place. Paver-Lock Sand effectively reduces vegetation growth and ant infestation and will also reduce joint sand loss due
to wind and precipitation erosion. Paver-Lock Sand conforms to the specifications of the Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute (ICPI). Paver-Lock Sand is offered in the color grey and tan.
USES and ADVANTAGES
• Patios and sidewalks.
• Pool sides.
• Sloping areas.
• Keeps pavers securely in place.
• Reduces weed growth.
• Reduces formation of ant hills.
• Easy to install.
• Available in Tan or Gray.
Spread the contents of the Paver-Lock Sand bags directly on the paving stones. Sweep the Paver-Lock Sand into the paver joints until all the joints are completely filled. Compact the sand and continue to sweep sand into the joints until all joints are completely filled and compacted. Remove all excess sand from the paver surface. Use of a leaf blower in addition to sweeping with a broom is recommended.
The removal of all excess sand is very important since it will be difficult to remove any residue left on the surface once pavers become wet.
Direct a fine spray of water in the air to dampen all Paver-Lock Sand joints. Allow the water to seep into the joints. Dampen until there is some water retention on the paver joints (about 30 seconds). Minimize or avoid walking on the pavers for at least 4 hours after installation of Paver-Lock Sand. For driveways, let dry without traffic for at least 24 hours.
Coverage will vary depending on the width of the joint and the size of the individual pavers but a good guideline is 75 square feet of coverage per 50 pound bag of Paver-Lock Sand for narrow joints and 35 square feet per 50 pound bag for wide joints.
